Morgan Falls Connector earns Fulton County environmental honor

The 1.88-mile link connects Roswell Road with Morgan Falls Overlook Park. The next stretch toward Grogans Ferry Road remains in design, the city says.

Springway's Morgan Falls Connector has earned a Fulton County environmental honor for its design and trail connections—a distinction for the completed 1.88-mile route, not its planned extension.[1]

Sandy Springs announced the recognition at the Fulton County Citizens Commission on the Environment's Oct. 21 awards ceremony. The city says District 2 Commissioner Bob Ellis selected the connector for its overall design and connections with existing trails in neighboring communities.[1]

Completed in April 2025, the connector links Roswell Road with Morgan Falls Overlook Park and provides access to the Chattahoochee River. Its features include a boardwalk across Orkin Lake and pedestrian bridges.[1]

The next stretch is a separate undertaking: In its Oct. 21 announcement, the city says the Springway segment from Morgan Falls Overlook Park to Grogans Ferry Road is still in design.[1]
