J-B Weld’s 2025 headquarters pitch: 23 jobs averaging $175,000

Sandy Springs approved permit-fee and two-year occupational-tax waivers for the planned Roswell Road move. The projected hiring is not verified.

J-B Weld’s entry in Sandy Springs’ new-business data has a backstory: a September 2025 incentive approval for a headquarters move projected to bring 23 jobs averaging $175,000.[1][2]

On Sept. 2, 2025, the Georgia city’s Mayor and City Council granted building-permit fee waivers, a two-year occupational-tax waiver and expedited permitting for the project at 7840 Roswell Road, Building 100. The approval covered J-B Weld and related real-estate entity Brown Trout Development II, LLC, subject to city policy and an agreement still to be negotiated.[2]

The company’s incentive application described a headquarters relocation from Marietta and a planned $1.5 million capital investment. It projected 23 net new jobs in Sandy Springs, with two to three more expected annually thereafter. The $175,000 figure was the projected average salary—not a verified hiring result.[2]

J-B Weld expected to use about 22,000 square feet—one floor of a three-story, 65,000-square-foot building. Brown Trout planned to buy the building and lease out the remaining space.[2]

The records establish the incentive approval and the company’s plan, not completion of the move, investment or hiring. The business entry supplies no start date. The resolution authorizes the city manager to sign an agreement with legal and finance approval, but does not establish that it was executed or state the waivers’ dollar value.[1][2]
