Local brief

325 Hammond’s old driveway is closed for good. Here’s the way in.

Use the entrance along the Hammond Glen driveway. The city estimates January 2027 completion for the Boylston–Hammond realignment.

Drivers headed to the office building at 325 Hammond in Sandy Springs, Georgia, must use the entrance along the Hammond Glen driveway. The city says that access point is open and is the building’s sole entrance; the former driveway is permanently closed.[1]

The broader project will line up Boylston Drive with the Hammond Glen Retirement Community driveway at a single signalized intersection on Hammond Drive. It also includes a sidepath and streetscape improvements along Boylston.[1]

Our earlier report on the southwest-leg access removal drew on the city’s Sept. 18 capital-project update. The Oct. 23 report still describes construction with intermittent lane closures and lists new signal-pole installation among the upcoming work, alongside utility relocations, storm structures and roadway grading.[2][3]

The city’s project webpage estimates that utility relocations will finish in November 2026 and construction in January 2027. Those remain projections: the office building’s entrance is open, but the intersection project is not finished.[1][3]
