Chattahoochee Hills staff recommend authorizing a Georgia Outdoor Stewardship Program application and a $600,000 local match for a conservation project. Trust for Public Land would prepare and submit the application on the city's behalf. Council consideration of Item 26-066 is scheduled for October 6 at 6:30 p.m.[1]
The proposed commitment is conditional on available, lawfully appropriated funds. The resolution would not authorize spending beyond appropriated or otherwise legally available amounts; expenditure of the match would remain subject to city budgeting requirements.[1]
The proposed resolution describes goals of land conservation, public access and outdoor recreation but does not identify a particular property. This is a recommendation to authorize an application and its match—not evidence of a grant award or a completed land purchase.[1]
