Current coverage updates this story. Fire inspection wouldn’t be the whole bill under Atlanta’s fee plan →
A held Atlanta ordinance proposes annual fire-inspection fees of $350 for existing business occupancies of up to 10,000 square feet and $550 for businesses larger than 10,000 square feet, beginning July 1, 2027.[1][2]
Ordinance 26-O-1451 would adjust fire-inspection, plan-review and permit fees through a phased approach to more closely match the city’s regulatory costs. The Public Safety & Legal Administration Committee held the twice-amended proposal Sept. 28 at the sponsor’s request; the recorded action does not enact the fee schedule.[1][2]
