Explore the source documentsQuality Living Services could remain at its county-owned senior center on Danforth Road for up to another decade under a proposal Fulton County commissioners are scheduled to consider Oct. 21. The proposed exchange: senior services in place of monthly rent.[1][2][3]
QLS’s current lease renewal runs through Dec. 31, 2026, with no renewal terms remaining, according to the proposed amendment. The county’s draft resolution describes a five-year extension from Jan. 1, 2027, through Dec. 31, 2031, plus a five-year renewal option—not a guaranteed ten-year stay.[1][2]
The amendment would require 90 days’ written notice to renew and would condition renewal on QLS having no uncured lease default.[1]
The proposal would extend a long-running arrangement at 4001 Danforth Road SW. The draft resolution traces the county’s first lease approval with QLS for aging services at the property to June 2002.[1][2]
Commissioners are being asked to approve the extension under item 26-0697 on the consent agenda, where items are handled in one motion unless moved for separate discussion. The meeting is scheduled for 10 a.m. Oct. 21 in Assembly Hall at the Fulton County Government Center, 141 Pryor Street SW in Atlanta.[3]
