Staff seek Macedonia Road deceleration lane at proposed apartment entrance
The recommended condition allows the public works director to find the lane unwarranted and requires county approval for work in county right-of-way.
Powder Springs staff recommend a full deceleration lane at the Macedonia Road entrance to the proposed 242-apartment development at 2761 Macedonia Road. The September 28 report identifies the lane as an off-site improvement associated with the project.[1]
The proposed condition would not require the lane if the public works director determines it is unwarranted. Work within county right-of-way would also need Cobb County Department of Transportation approval. This is a staff recommendation, not an approved or completed road improvement.[1]
