Staff revise EV-charging benchmark for Macedonia Road apartments
The recommended residential minimum now uses 10% of apartment units rather than parking spaces; at least four commercial charging spaces remain.
Powder Springs staff’s September 28 recommendation for the proposed 242-apartment development at 2761 Macedonia Road bases the residential EV-charging minimum on 10% of apartment units. It also calls for at least four parking spaces equipped with charging stations for the commercial component.[1]
The August 24 report instead used 10% of apartment parking spaces. The current proposal lists 353 apartment parking spaces for 242 apartments, so the revised wording uses a smaller denominator.[1][2]
This is recommended condition language for the linked annexation, rezoning and density-variance applications. The report does not establish council adoption of the charging requirement.[1]
