Second Avenue and Fayetteville Road zoning proposal remains on hold

Atlanta’s Zoning Committee held an ordinance at its Sept. 14 meeting that would assign zoning to 15 listed Second Avenue and Fayetteville Road properties upon annexation into the city. The proposal assigns community-business zoning to eight Second Avenue properties in Decatur and two Fayetteville Road properties listed in Atlanta.

Four other Fayetteville Road properties are proposed for single-family residential zoning and one for office-institutional zoning. Staff, the neighborhood planning unit and the Zoning Review Board recommended approval, but the committee recorded a hold rather than approval of the ordinance.
