Atlanta’s Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee unanimously held a proposed extension of citywide clean-and-close services Sept. 28 at the sponsor’s request. Ordinance 26-O-1488 would authorize up to $1.4 million for the Atlanta Police Department’s agreement with Asque’s Construction & Home Inspection, LLC.

The supporting ordinance says a replacement solicitation closed July 10 without vendor responses and would be reissued. It describes the service as cleaning and closing vacant, blighted or hazardous properties citywide, and presents the extension as a way to maintain service while a new agreement is competitively procured.

The proposed extension would run month to month from Dec. 16, 2026, through Dec. 15, 2027, waiving procurement source-selection provisions for amendment 7 to agreement FC-9423. The hold does not establish an executed extension; the supporting text requires execution and delivery of a renewal notice before it binds the city.
