Atlanta City Council approved up to $8,521,451.57 Sept. 21 for pavement milling and resurfacing following water and sewer repairs. Resolution 26-R-4022 passed 13–0 and authorizes an amendment to the Department of Watershed Management’s agreement with SBI & HFJ Joint Venture LLC.

The supporting resolution says increased utility-repair work exhausted existing contract funds because of the asphalt and concrete restoration required afterward. The additional money is intended to address the restoration backlog and current needs, raising the contract ceiling to $15,610,113.67.
