Atlanta’s City Utilities Committee voted 5–0 on Sept. 15 to recommend, on condition, an ordinance extending its yard-debris processing, hauling and diversion agreement with TAG Grinding Services. The proposal would waive procurement source-selection rules, add up to $307,000 and provide a month-to-month extension retroactive to Aug. 18 and running through Feb. 14, 2027. The qualified committee vote did not authorize the extension; the read record does not specify its condition.

The ordinance says the agreement had no renewal options or administrative extensions remaining after Aug. 17. It presents the bridge as a way to maintain service while Atlanta selects and executes a new bid. The service scope includes processing and transportation of residential, parks and forestry yard debris.
