Atlanta committee backs annual $31,913 solar-contract correction

The proposed fix would clarify that a previously authorized funding addition is annual, not one-time; it has committee support, not final adoption.

Atlanta's Public Safety and Legal Administration Committee voted unanimously Sept. 14 to recommend correcting an earlier solar-energy contract resolution so an addition of up to $31,913 is specified as annual rather than one-time.

The earlier resolution, adopted in May, already authorized adding the Atlanta Police Department and Atlanta Fire and Rescue Department as users of the city's agreement with Cherry Street Asset Management Holdings. The new proposal addresses the omitted annual-funding specification; the committee recommendation does not itself adopt that correction.

The correction's funding table lists the Leadership Building at 3080 Academy Dr. and the Academic Building at 3060 Academy Dr., with a $15,956.50 maximum amount for each. The table does not establish whether solar equipment is installed at either building.
