Local brief
The Nest Cafe plans to grow into the Moops space next door
The Canton Street proposal pairs a larger interior with more patio seating, black awnings and new storefront signs.
The Nest Cafe is proposing a bigger footprint at 58 Canton Street. A design-review application included in Alpharetta’s November 20, 2026, board packet would join the cafe’s Unit 101 with neighboring Unit 102—the space identified in the plans as Moops.[1]
The extra room would extend outdoors, too: the proposal calls for additional patio seating, umbrellas and planters. The furnishings would match the cafe’s existing tables, chairs and other patio pieces rather than introduce a different style.[1]
A storefront rendering shows Nest signage above the neighboring space and a replacement black awning. The application also calls for repainting the first-floor storefront, doors and windows; replacing a serving window with one matching the other windows; and adding exterior speakers.[1]
The property-owner authorization is dated September 23, 2026. Although the application appears in the November 20 packet, Nest is not listed among that agenda’s hearing items. The records reviewed do not establish a hearing date, an approval or an opening timetable for the expanded cafe.[1]
