Alpharetta’s Nov. 7 household hazardous-waste and paint collection is limited to city residents who preregister by Nov. 4. An Alpharetta mailing address alone does not establish eligibility: the city’s event notice warns that a home must be within the city limits.[1]

The Saturday collection is scheduled for 8:30 a.m.–1 p.m. at the Alpharetta Public Works Department, 1790 Hembree Road. There is no charge for acceptable materials.[1]

Residents unsure whether their homes qualify can check the city’s GIS tool at https://alphagis.alpharetta.ga.us/alphagis/. The notice directs participants to submit a completed form online at Alpharetta.ga.us by Wednesday, Nov. 4, and bring the resulting confirmation email to the collection. Anyone bringing a neighbor’s waste must also bring that neighbor’s confirmation.[1]

The city cautions that hazardous household chemicals can harm sanitation workers and the environment if placed in regular trash. For this collection, keep items in their original containers, tighten lids and do not let materials mix. Do not smoke around the waste during transport or at the site, and remain in your vehicle at drop-off.[1]

The notice does not give a registration-opening date, a complete accepted-materials list or quantity limits. Whether the online form is available now remains unconfirmed. For registration help or questions about what can be brought, email tporter@alpharetta.ga.us or call Public Works at 678-297-6200.[1]
